Who would have thought that we would get to play a Mafia game set in a communist country? As you can see in the video made by a Czech modder he converted a map of a city in the Czech Republic to Mafia 2. The map is, however, not available for download. And it never will be. The map mod is available only for his Patreons on his Patreon site. Those who are not subscribed to his Patreon can support his work by buying the map mod individually on Patreon for a slightly higher price. The videos shows just a small portion of the map.
The author says: “I have decided to be releasing content from my projects on my Patreon for free to my paying subscribers. I will be releasing content on a regular basis. The content will be available for purchase for non-subscribers at a higher price than the monthly subscription. Each month you can expect new content. This time I am releasing a new map. This map would have never gotten released if not for Patreon. We wish him well in his efforts. It seems to be a very nice looking map indeed! As you may know, Mafia 2 is a Czech game and it is therefore symbolic that after 14 years after its release the game is taking place in Czechoslovakia, or the Czech Republic, if you will.
